Fitout

There are several areas which require imediate focus, while others can wait and be done over a much longer timeframe.

Phase 1 Fitout
The following are the areas which will be tackled first. The estimated time to perform this is approximately 3months.
  • Change the mast compression post so it can be fixed to the cabin top.
  • Installation of the mast step on the deck.
  • Build the new under table cupboard and install together with galley bench top and table.
  • Install the galley cupboards and shelving in the passage way.
  • Re-align aft berth to be fore-aft.
  • Relocate the battery switch and wiring to new location.
  • Replace existing and install additional interior lights with LED lamps.
  • Install new water tanks under the settee and remove tank from lazarette.
  • Replace deck hatches (existing don't seal, locks missing).
  • Install two burner alcohol stove.
  • Mount the headsail tracks and mainsheet block deck fittings.
  • Make the settee backrest and cushions.
Completing these areas will make the boat comfortable to stay aboard.  At liveaboard stage moving onto the boat will be possible to move into the second phase of the fitout.

Phase 2 Fitout
Enhancement of the interior for comfort, and the making the boat sea worthy, will be in the second phase. The estimated time to perform this is approximately 2months.
  • Installation of the entertainment systems.
  • Build new companionway steps.
  • Relocation of the engine control panel to new companionway stairs
  • Refurbish the mast and obtain boom and vang.
  • Installation of the VHF radio and relocate 27MHz radio to main saloon.
  • Antifoul bottom of boat.
  • Make and install new rudder blade
Phase 3 Fitout
These tasks make the vessel ready for sailing. The estimated time to perform this is approximately 1month.
  • Install new shrouds and running rigging to the mast.
  • Fit the headsail furler and step mast.
  • Install seat on taffrail.
